How To prepare Tava Tea properly

Tava Tea is easy to be prepared

  1. Pour 3-4 cups (600-700ml) of boiled fresh water into a teapot.
  2. Let the water to get cooled to approximately 75-80 degrees C.
  3. Let your tea steep for the first infusion for 3-4 minutes. Your tea should have warm golden brownish colour. Now your tea is ready for drinking.
  4. Don’t throw away the used teabag, you’ve only used it once, and you have not released all the healthy anti-oxidants and flavors yet! The teabag should not be kept in water, as the leafs will continue to release its flavors.
  5. Boil 2-3 cups (500-600 ml) of water for the second infusion and pour it into your teapot.
  6. Wait again till the water get cooled.
  7. Let your tea steep for the second infusion for 6-7 minutes. The colour should be the same or some lighter like at the first infusion. The second steeping releases different tea anti-oxidants and oils, resulting in a different taste of the tea. You are now ready for your second Tava Tea session.
